Dennis Toler, CPA
Dennis has over thirty years of experience with most of his career in industry as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer. He has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Matthews Chamber of Commerce. Dennis has successfully established an accounting, consulting and tax practice over the last seven years and brings a wealth of business operational knowledge to the firm. In addition, Dennis provides financial advice to business owners.
John Bly, CPA, MST, CVA
John received his accounting degree from Bryant College in Rhode Island and a Masters degree in Taxation from the University of Denver in Colorado. John worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the largest accounting firm in the world, in their middle market tax group where he focused on small businesses and needs of business owners. John manages all aspects of operation for Toler, Bly & Associates, CPA, PLLC, as well as all tax related services for the firm. John received his CVA license in 2009 to help provide clients with business valuation services. He is a current nominee for the March 2010 Charlotte Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award.
Julie Ayers, CPA
Julie received her business degree from the University of South Carolina. Julie began her career in industry accounting in Virginia where she furthered her accounting studies at the University of Virginia. She moved to public practice in 1999 when she relocated to Charlotte. Julie is a Tax Partner and has responsibility for the tax compliance and tax planning for clients, along with managing the tax department. Julie is on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Accounts and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
MANAGERS
Courtney LaLone, CPA, Audit Manager
Courtney graduated from Central Michigan University and worked at Arthur Anderson, Grant Thornton, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP before joining Toler, Bly & Associates, CPA, PLLC. Courtney is responsible for overseeing the audit staff to provide service for companies such as Not-for-Profit organizations, Construction companies, Home Owner Associations, Franchisors, and Manufacturers. He is a member of Business Leaders of Charlotte.
Michael Moore, CPA, CVA, Director
Mike is a University of Miami graduate and furthered his accounting education at Appalachian State University. He began his accounting career at Deliotte and owned his own successful accounting practice specializing in meeting the tax and accounting needs of small businesses and individuals from 1993 until he merged with TB&A in December 2009. He received his Certified Valuation Analyst license in 2001 and has been providing business valuation services since then. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the NC Association of CPAs.
