Dennis Toler, CPA NC #135430
Dennis has over thirty years of experience with most of his accounting career as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Dennis has successfully established an accounting, consulting and tax practice over the last seven years and brings a wealth of business operational knowledge to the firm.
Dennis provides financial advice to business owners and co-teaches an income tax related class at CPCC for Construction executives. He served as President of the Board of Directors of the Matthews Chamber of Commerce. Please see Dennis's complete biography under the 'Meet Our Partners' tab.
John Bly, CPA NC #30280, MST, CVA
John received his accounting degree from Bryant College in Rhode Island and a Masters degree in Taxation from the University of Denver in Colorado. John worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the largest accounting firm in the world, in their middle market income tax group where he focused on small businesses and needs of business owners.
John manages all aspects of operation for Toler, Bly & Associates, CPA, PLLC, as well as all income tax related services with focus on non-profit associations, independent physician practices and independent doctors, construction, and franchisor operations. In addition, John received his CVA license in 2009 to provide clients with business valuation services. He has recently earn his certificate as North Carolina Life Agent, North Carolina Medicare Supplement Long Term Care Agent, and North Carolina Accident and Health Agent. Julie Ayers, CPA NC #29034
Julie received her business degree from the University of South Carolina. Julie began her career in property management and HOA relationships in Virginia, where she furthered her accounting studies at the University of Virginia. She moved to public practice in 1999 when she relocated to Charlotte, NC.
Julie is a Tax Partner with responsibility for income tax compliance and income tax planning for clients, Charter School and Home Owner Associations, along with managing the expansion of the tax department. Julie is on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners, and a member of several CPA associations: the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Courtney LaLone, CPA NC #32584
Courtney graduated from Central Michigan University and worked at Arthur Anderson, Grant Thornton, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP before joining Toler, Bly & Associates, CPA, PLLC. Courtney is responsible for overseeing the audit staff and all audit related client engagements.
Courtney, along with the audit staff, provides service for companies such as Non-profit associations, Construction companies, Home Owner Associations (HOA), Franchisors, and Manufacturers. Management
Michael Moore, CPA NC #14252, CVA, Director
Mike is a University of Miami graduate and furthered his accounting education at Appalachian State University. He began his accounting career at Deliotte and owned his own successful accounting practice specializing in meeting the tax and accounting needs of small businesses and individuals from 1993 until he merged with TB&A in December 2009. He received his Certified Valuation Analyst license in 2001 and has been providing business valuation services since then. He is a member of several CPA associations: The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The NC Association of Certified Public Accountants. He enjoys participation in the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce in Mint Hill, NC.
